Margaret F. Jennings
Margaret F. Jennings, a resident of the Bronxville section of Yonkers, died of cancer Aug. 30 at Calvalry Hospital in the Bronx. She was 81.
She was born March 30, 1910, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Henry and Frances Emma Flood McLaren. She attended school in Hamilton and graduated from the University of Toronto.
She married Melvin N. Jennings May 23, 1952, in Oakville, Ontario. Before marrying, Mrs. Jennings worked in the Toronto Academy of Medicine and in the reference department of the New York Academy of Medicine.
Mrs. Jennings moved to Yonkers in 1952. She was active in the Bonxville as a member of the Bronxville Women's Club and the Christ Church. She also belonged to the Medical Library Association and the Daughters of the British Empire.
She loved drama and wrote plays that were produced in Canada and Westchester County, her husband said.
Also surviving are a daughter, Flora McManus of Mohegan Lake; a brother, Richard McLaren of Hamilton; a sister, Flora Heddle of Hamilton; and three grandchildren.
