Since the stone is hard to photograph, here are some clarifications from Hamish Johnston:
1. The stone says that Muriel [Elizabeth Reeve] died on 1 May 1996. I went to the funeral.
2. Yes - [the top name on the St. Andrews stone is A. Mackechnie,] Mary JSM's father, and the stone says that he died on 22 December 1854. The stone also says that he was "Surgeon of the Royal Staff Corps" i.e. he was an army doctor.
3. The stone says that Lindesay Glass was MacKechnie's widow and that she died on 9 July 1859. His first wife was Marjory Wallace who was the mother of Mary JS MacKechnie. I have no information about when she died.
