      Text McLaren, Major Richard Evatt, (Dick of the 13th regiment, Royal Hamilton Light Infantry) - Suddenly, at Hamilton, on Tuesday, November 17, 1992, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy Edith (Bastedo). He leaves his sons George and Richard; daughter-in-law Peggy; Chris, Heather, Sandy, Robert, Josh and Zach his loving grandchildren, together with many friends. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Swackhamer & Hilts - Blatchford & Wray Funeral Home, 1341 Main Street West (opposite McMaster). The funeral service and committal will be at our family church, The Church of the Ascension, corner of Forest and John Street, Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday, November 20, 1992, at 11 a.m., with a reception held immediately after in the Parish Hall. If so desired, donations to The Church of the Ascension, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
