- I put the birth year as 1861, as a likely error in the source transcription of a change from 1 to 4. 1864 can't be right because the second William was born in 1862 and the William who lived must have been the second one to be born. Conceivably he could have been born 1860, but not 1859 since his sister Ellen was born that year.
